No pull dog harness

If your dog pulls hard on the leash and you're having trouble walking him, a dog walking harness is probably the most appropriate tool to help you solve your problem. This is also the type of harness recommended by the provincial law passed in March 2020 by MAPAQ, which requires that any dog weighing over 20 kg taken out in a public place be walked with a harness (link to regulation).

This type of harness is specially designed to facilitate leash walking by giving you good control over your dog and limiting its pulling force. However, you need to be careful: using a dog walking harness is not a miracle solution, and you obviously need to train your 4-legged friend to behave properly when walking in a harness. The advantage of the harness over the halter is that it's more comfortable and safer for the dog, as there's no risk to the trachea or neck.

If you are looking for harnessed dog sports, a dog walking harness is definitely not suitable as it is not padded enough and does not offer as much freedom of movement as our dog pulling harness. On the other hand, if you want to go for a jog with your dog running alongside you without exerting tension on his harness, this is perfectly possible without the need for a pulling harness.

Not all dog walking harnesses available in stores are designed in the same way. In the case of our modelWith our new hybrid harness, we've opted for a combination of webbing and padded fabric for maximum comfort and stability. What's more, our model belongs to the front clip dog harness - This means that the leash can be attached directly to the front of the dog (at sternum level) to give maximum control over the dog's pulling force. Many dog walking harnesses on the market come only with a back attachment, which offers less control over the dog's pulling force (he'll try to simply pull into the harness). This back attachment isn't bad in itself (in fact, it's available on our harness), but it doesn't offer as much control over the dog as the front attachment.

As mentioned previously, our no pull dog harness also comes with a back attachment that can be used in different ways:

If your dog is already a good listener and used to walking on foot, and you just want to walk him safely with a harness, you can simply attach him to the back clip and let him go about his business, such as sniffing out trees and other objects along the way;

Another particularity of our harness is its back handle which is particularly appreciated by owners of more reactive dogs. It allows you to easily control and keep your dog close to you in different situations (ex: at an intersection, if you meet another dog or in a place where there are many pedestrians).

In short, when it's time to take your pooch for a walk, our dog walking harness is the ideal solution for being in control of your dog. We strongly suggest you use it with our popular multifunctional leash, which can be attached around the waist, allowing you to walk your dog hands-free.
