If my dog pulls a lot on the leash, can a walking harness help me control his strength?
That's right! Our walking harness was developed to make life easier for dog owners. It's an excellent tool for teaching your dog to heel, and for managing his pulling power while he's learning. Of course, the walking harness is not a "miracle" tool and must be used in conjunction with proper training to teach your dog to stop pulling on the leash.
Will the front strap of the harness interfere with my dog's freedom of movement?
Although the sliding mechanism of the front strap limits the dog's pulling force, it does not prevent the dog from walking freely and safely. The harness's front strap passes over the top of the dog's shoulder, so it doesn't prevent the dog from walking comfortably.
Is this harness model suitable for harnessed dog sports?
As the name suggests, the walking harness is for walking only. It's not padded enough for pulling, and doesn't allow as much freedom of movement as our pulling harness when the dog is at full stride.

What's the best way to wash a walking harness?
If your harness isn't too dirty, a simple soak in water (with a little mild soap) and a manual wash may be all you need. On the other hand, if your dog has decided to take a mud bath and you can no longer distinguish the color of the harness, a pre-soak (to remove the bulk of the dirt) followed by a wash in the washer (delicate cycle, cold water and mild soap) is possible. Since there are hardwares on the harness, it may be a good idea to put it in a laundry bag. Air-dry only, as the heat of the dryer could alter the harness materials.
If the harness size I ordered doesn't fit my dog, can I exchange it?
Of course! If you think the harness you've ordered doesn't fit your dog, write to us at service@nahak.ca and provide us with photos of the harness on your dog. We can then help you determine the right replacement size and begin the exchange process.
