Yes, you only need to add a 2nd separator if you want to harness 2 dogs in parallel for hiking or canicross. For disciplines requiring greater distance from the dog (e.g. bikejoring), we recommend adding 2 extensions at the end of the line.

Our multisport bungee line is renowned for its "stiffness". Contrary to what you might think, a line that's too elastic/soft is much more detrimental to harness sports than a stiff bungee line. The best comparison is with a car suspension. The softer the suspension, the greater the impact and the greater the rebound effect. It's the same for a bungee line: a good stiffness will effectively absorb impacts and limit the "yoyo" effect, which leads to a loss of energy and can be disturbing for both dog and human.

We recommend installing the bungee line with the black snap hook on your belt loop. This means the bag will be close to you. This ensures better weight distribution, limits wobbling, prevents the cover from disturbing your dog by hitting his hindquarters when he slows down, and means that the black snap hook (with safety mechanism) is close to you, so there's no risk of accidentally unbuckling your belt.

Although the bungee line is a relatively simple product, occasional cleaning will increase its durability by dislodging soil particles that may become lodged in the rope and fabric. To clean it, we recommend a simple soak in water with mild soap, followed by a manual wash. Air dry only.
